Healthy Yoga Tips: 14 Guidelines Before & During Practicing Yoga
There are many guidelines, guidelines and steps that must be taken before doing yoga.
The following is a summary of the main points that must be done by beginners, but can also be used as a reminder for experienced yoga practitioners.
1. Relax by leaning back for two or three minutes before starting yoga.
2. Perform every movement calmly, without feeling tense. Keep breathing through your nose in all positions (except Shavasana pose).
3. Don't hold your breath too long or breathe in too deep. Don't stay too long in certain postures.
4. Finish a pose on a posture every time you start feeling uncomfortable (don't force it).
5. Do yoga on an empty stomach, four hours after a heavy meal, two hours after a snack, 10 to 15 minutes after drinking.
6. Before starting Asana, it is important to recognize your body's abilities. Never force your body to do a posture if you are unable to do it.
7. Before doing a posture, carefully check the illustration / picture for the angle, shape, position of fingers, hands, arms, toes, ankles, feet, and head. Beginners are advised not to practice without guidance.
8. When you are pregnant, or have just had surgery, or have heart, spinal, joint, or high blood pressure problems, ask your yoga teacher for advice on postures that should be avoided.
9. Do yoga exercises on the mat in a well-ventilated room.
10. Take a break after doing a posture until the fatigue disappears.
11. If you don't have time to do all the poses, choose at least one standing pose, one belly pose, one or two stretches forward and backward, and one sitting pose. On the next occasion, do the rest pose.
12. End the asana practice with a relaxation pose like Shavasana.
13. Progress may be slow, but over time your body will become more flexible.
14. For faster progress, practice guided by a qualified yoga teacher. Try to become a vegetarian and meditate at least five minutes every day.
